Receive HTML form submissions in your inbox
Form2Email helps developers receive website contact form submissions by email without building or maintaining an email backend.
What is Form2Email?
Form2Email is a free HTML form to email service. It gives you a public form URL — point any HTML form at it and every submission is delivered to your email inbox. There is no account, no dashboard, and no code to run on your server.
It solves a specific problem: a static website is just files, so it cannot receive a form POST, store anything, or send email by itself. Form2Email is that missing piece — a form-to-email API you can use instead of standing up PHP, an SMTP server, or a serverless function.
It is built for developers and makers running static websites, landing pages, waitlists, and small business sites who want a contact form without a backend. If you are looking for a Formspree alternative, a FormSubmit alternative, or a Web3Forms alternative without accounts or per-form dashboards, this is the same idea with a temporary-URL twist: endpoints expire unless you extend them.
- Backend?
- None — your form posts straight to your Form2Email URL.
- Account?
- None — you verify the destination email once by clicking a link.
- Cost?
- Free. Endpoints last 7 days; extensions are free and unlimited.
- Your data
- Submissions are stored per endpoint and emailed to you. Form visitors are never emailed, and only hashes of your URL tokens are kept.
- Docs
- How it works, the form guides, and the machine-readable API description.
Add it to your site
Create an endpoint with the tool above (or the API), click the verification link we email you, then point your form at the public URL you received:
<form action="https://form2email.terragohan.com/f/your-token" method="post"> <input name="name" required> <input name="email" type="email" required> <textarea name="message" required></textarea> <!-- optional: send browser users onward after submit --> <input type="hidden" name="_redirect" value="https://yoursite.com/thanks"> <button type="submit">Send</button> </form>
The visitor's email becomes the reply-to on the email you
receive, and any extra fields are included in the message body. JSON
submissions work too. The guides walk through
complete, real-world examples — contact forms, waitlists, quote requests,
and more.
What you get

Frequently asked questions
How do I send an HTML form submission to an email address?
Create a Form2Email endpoint with your destination email and your
site's domain, verify the email, then set your form's
action to the public URL you receive. Every submission is
emailed to you.
Can I receive contact form submissions without a backend?
Yes — that is exactly what Form2Email is for. Your site stays static; the form posts to Form2Email, which validates, stores, and relays the submission to your inbox.
Is Form2Email free?
Yes. Creating endpoints, receiving submissions, and extending endpoints are all free. A paid tier for permanent endpoints is planned for the future.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no signup and no password. You prove ownership of the destination email by clicking a verification link, and you manage the endpoint through a secret URL only you receive.
Can I use Form2Email on a static website?
Yes — it is designed for static websites. Any host that can serve an HTML page can use it: the form is plain HTML that posts to your Form2Email URL.
How does Form2Email prevent spam?
Submissions are only accepted from the exact domain you register, and clients are rate-limited per IP with exponential backoff. Verification emails to any single address are capped per day. There is no CAPTCHA or honeypot yet — that is on the roadmap.
Do Form2Email endpoints expire?
Yes — 7 days after email verification. Extending adds another 7 days, is free, works any number of times, and even revives an expired endpoint. Permanent endpoints that never expire are granted by the operator on request.
What happens if a submission fails?
If the email provider cannot deliver, the submission is still stored and the form gets a 502 response so it can retry. Expired endpoints answer 410, unverified ones 403, and abusive clients 429 with a Retry-After header.
